The Yellow River Game Ranch has a new baby buffalo! Born on July 19, the baby girl weighed in at 35 pounds and is just as cute as a... buffalo! (At least, for another month or so-- then she gets a permanent case of "the uglies".)

The Game Ranch invited children between the ages of three and six to help us name the newest addition to our buffalo herd.

Her name is.... Bella! Kaitlynn E. of Hoschton, GA submitted the winning entry and has won the grand prize!  We received almost 100 entries from across the country including South Dakota... other popular names included "Buffy," "Buttercup" and "Sunflower."
