Dear Friends of the Game Ranch,
In the past few months, there have been rumors, gossip and much misinformation about the status of the Yellow River Game Ranch. This letter is our attempt to give you the correct information as we know it. As things change, it will be updated.
A developer is attempting to consolidate a number of parcels of land to develop the property. If it all works, the Game Ranch will move to another location. We hope to stay in Gwinnett County and become its Number One “Tourist Attraction.” This will require some cooperation and assistance from Gwinnett County.
Regardless of the outcome, these things take an inordinate amount of time, so you can count on the Game Ranch through the summer of 2004 at the minimum.
Therefore, please help us get the word out! Plan your school field trips, family vacation or weekend excursions as always. General Beau will celebrate His National Holiday on February 2 – Groundhog Day, and Sheep Shearing Saturday is already scheduled for May 15, 2004.
2004 will represent our 42nd year of providing people with an extraordinary animal encounter. We are still “The Least Expensive Getaway In Georgia And The Most Fun!”
The Game Ranch staff, our resident animals and I look forward to welcoming you!
Sincerely,
Col. Art Rilling
